A Note on the Projects

For each project you will have time to engage in numerous planning activities, participate in peer-response groups, and revise your writing. All of these activities are important to your improvement as a writer. So when you turn in the draft of an essay, I want to see not just your final typed draft but all drafts that preceded it. I can study the process you used to write an essay only if you organize your work carefully. (Doing so will also help you keep track of work in progress.) When you turn in formal writing assignments, please use a pocket folder to organize your materials. Put all notes, rough drafts, and writing group responses in one pocket of the folder and your draft in the other.

You may revise your first two out-of-class papers if you are not happy with your grade (and rather than assigning an F to anyone's paper, I'll simply require that you revise it). Revisions are due two weeks after I return your paper to you.
