PURPOSE & GOALS

Our sorority is dedicated to educating the community about the many diverse Latino cultures-our history, struggles and endeavors. We hope to educate and unify the many diverse Latino cultures as well as other ethnic groups by fostering a sense of pride for our heritage, and in doing so hope to abolish ignorance, prejudice, and racism in the community. At the moment, Hermandad de Sigma Iota Alpha, Inc. is a national organization composed of 400+ Hermanas and 30 chapters in the states of New York, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, and California. Our chapters are composed of undergraduate, graduate and professional women whom are dedicated to the accomplishment of our goals.
